All right

standing at the ramp
flight’s departing, but
you’re not on
stereo blasting, but
the music’s off
what are you hearing
what are you feeling
standing here
waiting for liftoff?
Somehow, somewhere
it’ll all turn out all right
that’s what you said
compass in hand
spin, spin, spin
won’t you tell me where to go?
All right, all right
it’ll all turn out all right
feet up, settled down
cus we’ll be here awhile
flight’s departing, but
you’re not on
its snowing, frosted
flakes falling, but
you’re not looking
what are you hearing
what are you feeling
sitting here
waiting for liftoff?
Somehow, somewhere
it’ll all turn out all right
All right, all right

  1. This is the “song” I really liked. The imagery reminds me of Recessional. I don’t have it yet, but I want to write a song myself, inspired by this one. We’ll see if that goes anywhere.

No poem today; this was the day I forgot cause it was the opening night of TR: Space Bar.
